قُتل عنصر من قوات الأمم المتحدة المؤقتة في لبنان وأصيب اثنان آخران عند إصابة قاعدتهم في جنوب البلاد بقذائف، وفق ما أعلنت القوة الدولية الخميس.

وأوضحت اليونيفل في بيان أن عنصرين آخرين من قواتها أُصيبا في الهجوم الذي وقع في وقت متأخر من مساء الأربعاء.

وقال مصدر أمني، إنّ "قذائف طالت قاعدة اليونيفل في قرية إبل السقي".

وأفادت وزارة الدفاع الصربية بأن عنصر (يونيفل) الذي قتل في جنوب لبنان صربي، موضحة أنه قضى "متأثرا بجروحه جراء سقوط صاروخ على قاعدة للأمم المتحدة".

وقالت الوزارة في بيان إن السرجنت ميلوفان يوفانوفيتش المولود العام 1989 "تلقى علاجا طبيا سريعا في مستشفى داخل القاعدة بعد إصابته، ثم نقل في مروحية إلى مركز استشفائي جامعي في بيروت حيث توفي قرابة الساعة الرابعة بالتوقيت المحلي".
