أعلنت السفارة اللبنانية في واشنطن الاثنين، أن حزب الله وافق على الاقتراح الأميركي "بوقف متبادل للهجمات"، وذلك بعد تهديد إسرائيل باستئناف الغارات على ضاحية بيروت الجنوبية، عشية الجولة الرابعة من المفاوضات بين البلدين.

وقالت السفارة اللبنانية في بيان نقله مكتب الرئاسة، "تلقت السلطات اللبنانية تأكيدا بموافقة حزب الله على المقترح الأميركي الذي يقضي بوقفٍ متبادل للهجمات".

وأضافت "بموجب الترتيب المقترح، تتوقف الضربات الإسرائيلية على الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت مقابل امتناع حزب الله عن تنفيذ هجمات ضد إسرائيل، على أن يتم توسيع إطار وقف إطلاق النار ليشمل كامل الأراضي اللبنانية".
