قال نائب الرئيس الأميركي جاي دي فانس الخميس إن الولايات المتحدة وإيران أحرزتا تقدما كبيرا نحو اتفاق لتمديد وقف إطلاق النار، لكن دونالد ترامب ليس جاهزا بعد للموافقة عليه.

وقال فانس لصحافيين بعد ساعات من إعلان مصادر أميركية أن واشنطن وطهران توصلتا إلى إطار اتفاق "نحن نتبادل الآراء حول بعض النقاط اللغوية. لقد أحرزنا تقدما كبيرا". وأضاف "نأمل بأن نواصل إحراز تقدم وأن يكون الرئيس في وضع يسمح له بالموافقة على الاتفاق، لكن من الواضح أن ذلك لا يزال غير محدد".
