أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، صباح اليوم الجمعة، محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة بواسطة طائرتين مسيّرتين، على واجهتها الغربية ضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية العسكرية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، حيث جرى تطبيق قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصدهما من قِبل قوات حرس الحدود، وإسقاطهما داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة
