أعلنت وزارة الدفاع السعودية أنها اعترضت صباح الأحد ثلاث طائرات مسيّرة اخترقت أجواء المملكة آتية من العراق، مؤكدة احتفاظها بحق الرد.

وجاء في بيان للمتحدث باسم الوزارة "صباح يوم الأحد الموافق (17 مايو/أيار 2026م) تم اعتراض وتدمير 3 مسيّرات بعد دخولها المجال الجوي للمملكة قادمة من الأجواء العراقية". وأكد أن الرياض "تحتفظ بحق الرد في الزمان والمكان المناسبين، وستتخذ وتنفذ كافة الإجراءات العملياتية اللازمة للرد على أي محاولة اعتداء على سيادة المملكة وأمنها وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها".

وأتى البيان السعودي ليل الأحد، في يوم أعلنت الإمارات أن مسيّرة اخترقت أجوائها من "جهة الحدود الغربية"، أصابت مولدا كهربائيا قرب محطة للطاقة النووية في أبوظبي، مشيرة الى العمل على تحديد مصدرها.
