استقبل رئيس جمهورية لاتفيا إدغار رينكيفيتش في العاصمة اللاتفية ريغا، الجمعة، نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي، وفقا لوزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين.

والتقى الصفدي، الجمعة، وزيرة خارجية جمهورية لاتفيا بايبا براجا.

وبحث الصفدي في اجتماع مع نظيرته اللاتفية العلاقات الثنائية وسبل وآليات تعزيزها في مختلف المجالات التي تهم البلدين، إضافة إلى تطورات الأوضاع الإقليمية، وذلك في العاصمة اللاتفية ريغا.

كما وقّع الصفدي وبراجا اتفاقية بين حكومتَي البلدين حول الإعفاء من متطلبات التأشيرة لحاملي جوازات السفر الدبلوماسية.

كما جرى التوقيع على مذكّرةَ تفاهم بين وزارتَي خارجية البلدين لإنشاء آلية للمشاورات السياسية الثنائية.
