قال قائد القيادة المركزية الأميركية، الأدميرال براد كوبر، الخميس إن قدرة إيران على تهديد جيرانها والمصالح الأميركية في المنطقة تراجعت بشدة.

وأضاف كوبر أمام لجنة في مجلس الشيوخ إن التهديد الإيراني تراجع على نحو ملحوظ، ولم تعد تشكل تهديدا للشركاء الإقليميين أو للولايات المتحدة بالطريقة التي كانت قادرة عليها من قبل في جميع المجالات.

وأضاف،" لقد تراجعت قدرة إيران بشدة".
