توفي اليوم الخميس، الحاج سالم سلامة الصقور، أحد أبرز وجهاء محافظة الطفيلة وأكبر معمّريها، عن عمر تجاوز الـ 100 عام.

ويعتبر الحاج سالم، المولود في قرية صنفحة بالطفيلة المعروفة تاريخيا بـ "أم القرى" في العام 1925 بحسب وثيقة تقدير السن، من الشخصيات البارزة في عشيرة بني حميدة، وتحديدا من فرع عشيرة الشتيات التي تندرج منها عشيرة الصقور وقد تم اختياره مختارا لعشيرته من قبل لجنة محلية مقرها محافظة الكرك آنذاك.

يذكر ان الفقيد امتهن الزراعة، وبرز كمزارع ناجح رغم ندرة الإرشادات الزراعية حينها، وساهم في تأسيس مزارع للكروم والأشجار المعمرة في قريتي السلع وضانا.
