اطلع مدير دائرة الآثار العامة الدكتور فوزي أبو دنه خلال زيارة رسمية لموقعي مار إلياس الأثري وقلعة عجلون برفقة المطران خريستوفوروس وسفيرة اليونان لدى المملكة إيريني ريغا، على سير أعمال الترميم التي تنفذها البعثة اليونانية في الموقعين.

وخلال الجولة ثمّن الدكتور أبو دنه الجهود المبذولة في الحفاظ على الموروث الثقافي والأثري، مؤكداً أهمية التعاون الدولي في صون التراث الإنساني المشترك.

من جهتها، أشادت السفيرة اليونانية بالمستوى المتقدم للشراكة الأردنية – اليونانية في مجال صيانة المواقع الأثرية، وما تشكله من قيمة حضارية وسياحية.
