نجحت الصين، وتحديدا العاصمة بكين، في أقل من 20 عاما، في بناء شبكة ضخمة من السكك الحديدية للقطارات فائقة السرعة بطول يزيد عن 45,000 كيلومتر، وهو ما يفوق إجمالي ما تملكه بقية دول العالم مجتمعة.

وتسير القطارات في هذه الشبكة بسرعة تصل إلى 350 كيلومترا في الساعة، مع توفير درجة عالية من الراحة والثبات، لدرجة تسمح للركاب باحتساء الشاي دون عناء، مع بقاء الاتصال بشبكة الجيل الخامس (5G) طوال الرحلة.
