الأردن ودول EFTA يوقعون تعديلات على اتفاقية التجارة الحرة

وقّع المندوب الدائم للمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية لدى الأمم المتحدة ومنظمة التجارة العالمية في جنيف، أكرم سعود الحراحشة، بالنيابة عن الحكومة الأردنية، وسفراء دول رابطة التجارة الحرة الأوروبية (EFTA) لدى الأمم المتحدة في جنيف، عن دول أيسلندا، ليختنشتاين، سويسرا، والنرويج، تعديلات على اتفاقية التجارة الحرة الموقعة بين الجانبين.

وتهدف التعديلات إلى تحديث الاتفاقية التي دخلت حيز التنفيذ في أيلول عام 2002 بما يسهم في تعزيز التبادل التجاري والفرص الاقتصادية بين الأردن ودول الرابطة، ويراعي آخر التطورات ضمن إطار اتفاقية منطقة التجارة الحرة الأوروبية المتوسطية (PEM)، وبما يضمن مواءمة ديناميكية مع قواعد الاتفاقية المحدثة التي أصبحت أكثر ملاءمة للتجارة، ما يعزز فرص النمو الاقتصادي والازدهار لجميع الأطراف.

كما جرى التوقيع على ثلاث اتفاقيات ثنائية تتعلق بالزراعة بين الأردن والنرويج وسويسرا وايسلندا.

وتأتي هذه الاتفاقيات في إطار جهود المملكة لتعزيز علاقاتها الاقتصادية والتجارية مع شركائها الدوليين، وفتح مزيد من الآفاق أمام الصادرات الأردنية في الأسواق الأوروبية.
