تُوج فريق الشارقة الإماراتي بلقب النسخة الأولى من بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا 2، عقب فوزه المثير على ليون سيتي السنغافوري بنتيجة 2-1، في المباراة النهائية التي أقيمت اليوم الأحد على ملعب نيشان في سنغافورة.

وسجل فراس بالعربي هدف التقدم للشارقة في الدقيقة 74، قبل أن يعادل ليون سيتي النتيجة عن طريق ماكسيم ليستيين في الدقيقة 90+2. إلا أن ماركوس ميلوني تمكن من خطف هدف الفوز للفريق الإماراتي في الدقيقة 90+7.

ويُعد هذا اللقب هو الأول لنادي الشارقة على الصعيد القاري، كما يُمثل ثالث تتويج للأندية الإماراتية في البطولات الآسيوية، بعد لقبي العين في دوري أبطال آسيا
