عقدت الامانة العامة لاتحاد الصحفيين العرب اجتماعا موسعا في مقر نقابة الصحفيين العراقيين في بغداد برئاسة نقيب الصحفيين العراقيين رئيس اتحاد الصحفيين العرب مؤيد اللامي، فيما نوقشت عدد من المواضيع المدرجة على جدول الاعمال.

وورحب اللامي في كلمة بافتتاح الاجتماع، بأعضاء الامانة لاتحاد الصحفيين العرب مشيرا الى اهم المواضيع المدرجة على جدول الاعمال والتي سيناقشها الاجتماع.

وقال اللامي أن «الاجتماع ناقش طلب انضمام عضوية قطر الى الاتحاد العام للصحفيين العرب»، لافتاً الى أن «قطر بلد مهم ومتقدم ومؤثر إعلامياً على المستوى العالمي، وليس العربي فقط، وهنالك حرص من جميع الأشقاء العرب على انضمامهم للاتحاد».

وأضاف اللامي أن «الاجتماع ناقش ايضا القضية الفلسطينية والجرائم التي يرتكبها الصهاينة بحق العوائل في قطاع غزة، إضافة إلى وضع الصحفيين في القطاع مشددا على ضرورة الخروج بقرارات حقيقية وفاعلة في ظل وصول عدد الشهداء الصحفيين الفلسطينيين، لحد الآن، الى 150 شهيدا مع وجود مئات الجرحى من الاسرة الصحفية الفلسطينية.
