أكدت السلطات العراقية الأربعاء أن أراضيها لن تُستخدم "لتنفيذ هجمات أو ردود" في ظل التوتر الذي تشهده المنطقة حيث تهدد إيران بالرد على الضربات الإسرائيلية الأخيرة التي استهدفتها.

,جاء في بيان للمجلس الوزاري للأمن الوطني العراقي بأن "ما جرى تداوله من أخبار تتحدث عن اتخاذ الأراضي العراقية منطلقا لتنفيذ هجمات أو ردود على الاعتداءات، ما هي إلّا ذرائع كاذبة ومسوغات يراد لها أن تكون مبررا للاعتداء على العراق وسيادته وحرمة أراضيه".

يأتي البيان بعدما نقل موقع "أكسيوس" الإخباري الأميركي عن مصدر استخباراتي إسرائيلي قوله إن إيران قد ترد على الدولة العبرية انطلاقا من الأراضي العراقية.

إلى ذلك نقل موقع "أكسيوس" الثلاثاء عن مسؤولَين أميركيَّين قولهما إن الولايات المتحدة حذرت العراق من أنه قد يتعرّض لـ"هجوم إسرائيلي" إذا لم يمنع إيران من الرد على اسرائيل من أراضيه.
