قال المدير العام لدائرة أوقاف القدس وشؤون المسجد الأقصى، عزام الخطيب، الخميس، إن وصول أهالي الضفة الغربية المحتلة للمسجد الأقصى محدد بفئات عمرية بسبب تضيق سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، حيث لا يدخل من أعمارهم أقل من 55 عاما دون تصريح من سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

وأضاف في تصريح صحفي : "نريد أن يصل مئات الآلوف للصلاة في المسجد الأقصى حيث صلى يوم أمس أكثر من 60 ألف مصلي صلاة التراويح".

وأعلن المفتي العام للقدس والديار الفلسطينية، رئيس مجلس الإفتاء الأعلى، الشيخ محمد حسين، مساء الثلاثاء، أن الأربعاء هو المتمم لشهر شعبان، وعليه يكون الخميس هو أول أيام شهر رمضان المبارك، بحسب وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية "وفا".
