عقد مجلس الأمن الدولي اليوم الجمعة جلسة دورية مفتوحة بشأن القضية الفلسطينية استمع أعضاء المجلس خلالها إلى أحاطة قدمها منسق الأمم المتحدة الخاص لعملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط، تور وينيسلاند الذي استعرض أعمال العنف الأخيرة في الضفة الغربية من قبل قوات الاحتلال والمستوطنين.

وقال وينيسلاند، إن الأمم المتحدة "لا تزال منخرطة بنشاط مع جميع الأطراف ذات الصلة وملتزمة بدعم الفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين، لحل الصراع من خلال إنهاء الاحتلال وتحقيق حل الدولتين على أساس حدود عام 1967، بما يتماشى مع قرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة والقانون الدولي والاتفاقيات الثنائية".

واستمع المجلس أيضًا إلى ما يقارب من 47 خطابًا للدول الأعضاء بالأمم المتحدة من بينها الأردن.
