بعث جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني برقية تعزية إلى أخيه سمو الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان، رئيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة الشقيقة، بوفاة المغفور له، بإذن الله، سمو الشيخ سلطان بن زايد آل نهيان، ممثل صاحب السمو رئيس الدولة.

وأعرب جلالته، في البرقية، باسمه وباسم شعب المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية وحكومتها عن أصدق مشاعر التعزية والمواساة بهذا المصاب الأليم، سائلاً الله جلت قدرته أن يتغمد الفقيد بواسع رحمته وغفرانه، ويسكنه فسيح جنانه، وأن يلهم سمو الشيخ خليفة والأسرة الحاكمة والشعب الإماراتي الشقيق جميل الصبر وحسن العزاء.
