ربع سكان العراق تحت خط الفقر

- كشفت وزارة التخطيط بالعراق عن أكثر من 12 مليون مواطن يعيشون تحت خط الفقر.

وقال المتحدث الرسمي للوزارة، عبد الزهرة الهنداوي، اليوم الثلاثاء، إن تفشي جائحة كورونا وانخفاض أسعار النفط بالسوق العالمية في 2020 رفعت نسبة الفقر في العراق إلى 22%.

وأضاف أن نحو6 ر12 مليون عراقي يعيشون تحت خط الفقر، والوزارة لديها مشروع الصندوق الاجتماعي للتنمية الذي يموله البنك الدولي بمبلغ 300 مليون دولار يوفر خدمات السكن والصحة والنقل لتخفيف نسبة الفقر، مبينا أن القطاع الخاص أكثر ضررا بسبب توقف الحياة العملية بزمن كورونا.

وأشار عبد الزهرة إلى أن ربع سكان العراق يعيشون تحت خط الفقر بدخل شهري مقدر بأقل من 500 ألف دينار.
