أعلن رئيس الصندوق السيادي الروسي كيريل ديمترييف الثلاثاء أن عشرين دولة أجنبية طلبت مسبقاً "أكثر من مليار جرعة" من اللقاح الروسي ضد كوفيد-19 مشيراً إلى أن المرحلة الثالثة من التجارب تبدأ الأربعاء.

وأوضح رئيس الصندوق المشارك في عملية تطوير اللقاح أن الانتاج الصناعي سيبدأ في أيلول.

وقال ديمترييف إن اللقاح أُطلق عليه تسمية "سبوتنيك في":"سبوتنيك" تيمّناً باسم القمر الصناعي السوفياتي، وهو أول مركبة فضائية وضعت في المدار، و"في" تمثل أول حرف من كلمة لقاح في عدة لغات أجنبية.
