اعتبرت سفارات الولايات المتحدة وبريطانيا والنروج الثلاثاء أنه آن الأوان للسلطات السودانية لكي تعرض “خطة انتقال سياسي تحظى بمصداقية” في مواجهة التظاهرات ضد النظام التي تشهدها البلاد منذ أشهر.

وقالت سفارات الدول الثلاث في بيان مشترك نشر في الخرطوم “لقد آن الاوان للسلطات السودانية لكي ترد على هذه المطالب الشعبية بطريقة جدية وتحظى بمصداقية”.

وأضافت أنه يجب على السلطة ان تضع “خطة انتقال سياسي تحظى بمصداقية” فيما تجمع آلاف المتظاهرين منذ السبت أمام مقر القيادة العامة للجيش السوداني للمطالبة برحيل الرئيس عمر البشير الذي يحكم البلاد منذ 1989.

ودعت الدول الثلاث أيضا السلطات الى الإفراج عن كل المعتقلين السياسيين ووقف استخدام العنف ضد “متظاهرين مسالمين”.

وأضافت أن “الشعب السوداني يطالب بانتقال الى نظام سياسي يكون شاملا” كل الأطراف، مبدية استعدادها لدعم مثل هذه العملية السياسية والمساهمة في حل التحديات الاقتصادية التي تواجه البلاد.
