يترقب كثيرون في السعودية أسبوع الموضة العربي ، المقرر أن تستضيفه البلاد في الشهر المقبل، للمرة الأولى في تاريخها.

وبحسب الموقع الإلكتروني لمجلس الموضة العربي، فإن الحدث من المقرر عقده بالعاصمة الرياض، في الفترة بين 26 و31 مارس /آذار المقبل.

ويثير الحدث جدلًا في البلاد حول طبيعة التصاميم والعروض، من حيث التزامها بمعايير الاحتشام المتبعة محليًا، من عدمه، أكثر من الاهتمام بأحدث الصرعات التي سيقدمها.

وم افتتاح المكتب الإقليمي لمجلس الأزياء العربي في الرياض، لدعم المصممين المحليين في مجال تطوير الصناعة المحلية في المجالات الفنية والإبداعية.

وشهدت المملكة، في الآونة الأخيرة، سلسلة قرارات بالتخلي عن عدد من القوانين والأعراف الرسمية، التي اعتمدتها البلاد على مدار عقود، أبرزها منع النساء من قيادة السيارة ودخولهن ملاعب كرة القدم.
