نبتة الكلخ من النباتات الربيعية وهي نبتة سامة لا تصلح للرعي رغم جمال منظرها وتضر بالماشية وتتسبب بنفوقها، كما تتسبب باجهاض الابل. هذه النبتة الجميلة اسمها العلمي (Ferula Asafoetida) تنتمي لفصيلة الخيميات وتكثر في مناطق البحر الابيض وتعتبر من النباتات الطبية حيث يتم استخدام عصارتها لمعالجة الثأليل.
