«انا اقفز من سيارات منطلقة بسرعة جنونية، واطلق النار من اسلحة متطورة، وارتدي افخم الملابس واقبّل اجمل نساء العالم... في المختصر انا امارس اجمل مهنة في العالم» هذا ما قاله نجم فيلم: Shadow Recruit Jack Ryan الممثل الاميركي الوسيم كريس بين ابن الممثلين روبرت بين وغوين جيلفورد وحفيد الممثلة آن غوين، لذلك كان من الطبيعي ان يرث حب التمثيل الذي درسه في جامعة سان فرنسيسكو. بدأ مسيرته السينمائية من خلال فيلم The Princess Diaries 2 مع آن هاثاوي عام 2004 واشتهر من خلال ادائه دور الكابتن كيرك في سلسلة Star Trek.
