واشنطن - ا ف ب - اعلنت وكالة الفضاء الاميركية (ناسا) ان رماد نيل ارمسترونغ، اول رجل يمشي على سطح القمر، نثر في المحيط الاطلسي الجمعة خلال مراسم اقيمت على حاملة الطائرات الاميركية فيليبين سي.

ولم تحدد وكالة الفضاء الاميركية المكان المحدد للاحتفال في البحر، لكنها نشرت صورا على موقعها في شبكة الانترنت واوضحت ان حاملة الطائرات ابحرت من مايبورت في فلوريدا (جنوب شرق الولايات المتحدة).

وقد جرى نثر الرماد الذي ترافق مع كل التشريفات العسكرية وفي حضور ارملته كارول ارمسترونع غداة احتفال اقيم في الكاتدرائية الوطنية بواشنطن.

وتوفي ارمسترونغ في 25 آب عن 82 عاما على اثر مضاعفات بعد عملية جراحية في القلب.

ودخل نيل ارمسترونغ التاريخ في 20 تموز 1969 عندما اصبح اول رجل يمشي على القمر، وخلد الحدث بعبارته الشهيرة "انها خطوة صغيرة للانسان وقفزة عملاقة للبشرية".
