رصد- فى الوقت الذى تؤكد فيه العديد من الأبحاث أهمية الإكثار من تناول الخضراوات والفاكهة، كشفت أبحاث طبية حديثة أن الإكثار من تناول البرتقال يساعد على الوقاية من الإصابة بالسكتات الدماغية.

كان الباحثون بجامعة "هارفارد" الأمريكية أجروا أبحاثهم على أكثر من 70 ألف ممرضة، حيث تم دراسة نمط أنظمتهم الغذائية، بالإضافة إلى معدلات تناولهم لمضادات الأكسدة والفلافونويد.

وأشارت المتابعة إلى أن الممرضات اللاتى أكثرن من تناول الحمضيات خاصة البرتقال، نجحن فى خفض فرص إصابتهن بالسكتات الدماغية بصورة ملحوظة بالمقارنة بالممرضات اللاتى لم يتناولن البرتقال
