دمشق - (أف ب) - سجل السوري فراس معلا انجازا غير مسبوق في ميادين السباحة الطويلة عندما نجح في السباحة من قبرص الى مدينة اللاذقية السورية، اي لمسافة 110 كلم.
وانجز معلا (36 عاما) مغامرته ظهر أمس السبت عندما وصل الى شاطىء اللاذقية بعد سباحته لمدة 42 ساعة متواصلة بدأت في الساعة السادسة من مساء الخميس من قبرص.
وكان معلا فشل في محاولته الاولى الاسبوع الفائت بسبب ارتفاع الامواج والتيارات البحرية وبعد ان سبح مسافة 42 كلم. ويشغل معلا منصب نائب رئيس الاتحاد الرياضي العام، وسبق له ان توج بعدة القاب عربية في السباحة القصيرة قبل ان يتحول الى ميادين السباحة الطويلة ويحرز عدة القاب عالمية، وبعد اعتزاله تحول الى العمل الاداري وتقلد عدة مناصب كان اخرها انتخابه نائبا لرئيس الاتحاد الرياضي العام.
