أعلنت الحكومة العراقية، اليوم الأربعاء، إجراءات مهمة لحماية نهري دجلة والفرات والحد من تلوثهما، في إطار المبادرة الإقليمية لحماية النهرين.

وذكر المكتب الإعلامي لرئيس مجلس الوزراء، في بيان، أن الإجراءات تتضمن إلزام المحافظات العراقية، بتشغيل محطات معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي قبل تصريفها في الأنهار، فضلا عن إلزام الوزارات والجهات المتسببة بالتلوث بمعالجة مخلفاتها بيئياً؛ من أجل حمايتها من الأخطار البيئية.
