بوليفيا.. حالة طوارئ بسبب تداعيات ظاهرة "إل نينيو"

أعلن الرئيس البوليفي رودريغو باز، حالة الطوارئ بهدف توفير الموارد اللازمة للتعامل مع تداعيات ظاهرة "إل نينيو" المناخية، التي تتسبب في دمار واسع النطاق حول العالم.

وقال رئيس بوليفيا في خطاب وجهه إلى الأمة إن المرسوم يدعو أيضا إلى نشر مزيد من فرق الإنقاذ في المناطق الأكثر تضررا، فيما تواجه بوليفيا فيضانات وجفافا بسبب الظاهرة.

وأوضح: "ستكون هذه ظاهرة ذات تداعيات بالغة الخطورة تتمثل في موجات جفاف وفيضانات، ونحن في حاجة إلى تعاون كل المؤسسات".

وأفاد تقرير حكومي صدر هذا الأسبوع بأن الجفاف يؤثر على 78 ألف أسرة في 6 من مقاطعات البلاد الـ9، وقد تسبب في نفوق أكثر من 75 ألف رأس من الماشية.

وتتسبب ظاهرة "إل نينيو" بتعديل دوران الغلاف الجوي بشكل كبير، فتكبح تشكل الأعاصير في المحيط الأطلسي وتعززها في المحيط الهادئ.

وحذرت الأمم المتحدة هذا الأسبوع من أن الظاهرة الحالية قد تبلغ قوة "غير مسبوقة"، ما سيجلب دمارا لأميركا اللاتينية وشرق إفريقيا وجنوبها وآسيا ومنطقة المحيط الهادئ.

ومن بين الدول المجاورة لبوليفيا، شهدت البيرو ارتفاعا في درجات الحرارة وحرائق غابات أسفرت عن مقتل 12 شخصا على الأقل.

كذلك، شهدت تشيلي أكثر أشهر أكتوبر غزارة في الأمطار على الإطلاق في العاصمة سانتياغو.
