اختتم المنتخب الوطني تحت 15 عاماً لكرة القدم مشاركته في بطولة كأس العالم ومهرجان فيفا 2026، المقامة في أذربيجان، بعد انتهاء مبارياته في الدور الثاني من البطولة.

وشهدت مباريات المنتخب في الدور الثاني الخسارة أمام الرأس الأخضر 1-3، قبل أن يتجاوز توغو بركلات الترجيح 4-2، بعد التعادل 1-1 في الوقت الأصلي، فيما تعثر أمام سوريا 1-3، وتفوق على موريشيوس 3-2، قبل أن يتعثر أمام برمودا 0-2.

واستقر المنتخب الوطني تحت 15 في المركز 118 على سلم الترتيب النهائي للبطولة.

وأنهى المنتخب الوطني منافسات الدور الأول، وحقق خلالها الفوز على غامبيا 3-2، وتعادل مع نيجيريا 2-2 وباكستان 1-1، فيما تعثر أمام قبرص 1-2 وجنوب السودان 0-1.

وكان الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم كشف عن إطلاق النسخة الأولى من كأس العالم تحت 15 عاماً، مع دعوة جميع الاتحادات الوطنية الأعضاء وعددها 211 اتحاداً للمشاركة في البطولة التي تستهدف جمع أكثر من 4 آلاف طفل في مهرجان عالمي لكرة القدم.
