أعلن الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم الأربعاء تأجيل 24 مباراة ضمن الدور الأول لمسابقة كأس الملك «احتراما وتضامنا» مع ضحايا حادث اصطدام قطارين أسفر عن مقتل ما لا يقل عن 31 شخصا وإصابة 80 آخرين جنوب مدريد.

وجاء في بيان للاتحاد الإسباني «احتراما وتضامنا مع جميع ضحايا الحادث المأساوي لاصطدام القطارين الذي وقع صباح الأربعاء في محافظة توليدو، قرر الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم تعليق المباريات الـ24 من الدور الأول لكأس الملك التي كان من المقرر إقامتها امس الاربعاء».

وأضاف الاتحاد أنه «سيعلن قريبا الجدول المعدّل والمواعيد النهائية للمباريات المؤجلة»، مؤكدا «دعمه للسلطات في جهودها لمساعدة ضحايا هذا الحادث المروع».

وبحسب آخر حصيلة أولية أصدرتها السلطات الإسبانية، قُتل 30 شخصا على الأقل وأصيب 80 آخرون في تصادم قطارين فائقي السرعة على بعد نحو 150 كيلومترا جنوب مدريد، ما يجعله أحد أسوأ كوارث السكك الحديدية في تاريخ البلاد.
