أعلن البيت الأبيض، الخميس، أن الولايات المتحدة لن تشن أي هجوم على إيران قبل انتخابات التجديد النصفي للكونغرس المقررة في 3 نوفمبر/ تشرين الثاني المقبل.

جاء ذلك في تصريح أدلت به نائبة المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض آنا كيلي، ردا على استفسار لمنصة "دروب سايت نيوز" الإخبارية الأمريكية بشأن احتمال شن الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل هجوما على إيران في المستقبل القريب.

وقالت كيلي إن "الولايات المتحدة لن تهاجم إيران بأي حال من الأحوال قبل انتخابات التجديد النصفي"، مكررة بذلك تصريحات سابقة للرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب.

ولم تعلق كيلي على احتمال شن إسرائيل هجوما على إيران.

والأسبوع الماضي، صرح ترامب بأن الولايات المتحدة لن تشن أي هجوم على إيران قبل الثالث من نوفمبر المقبل.
