أحرز لاعب المنتخب الوطني لرفع الأثقال البارالمبي عبد الكريم خطاب، الأربعاء، الميدالية الذهبية في منافسات وزن 97 كغم بدورة الألعاب الآسيوية البارالمبية في مدينة ناغويا اليابانية، بعد رفعه 241 كغم، مسجلا رقما قياسيا جديدا للدورة.

وتعد ذهبية خطاب الثانية للأردن في الدورة الحالية، بعد تتويج عمر قرادة بالذهب في رفع الأثقال، والثالثة في سجل خطاب بدورات الألعاب الآسيوية البارالمبية، بعد ذهبيتي إنشيون عام 2014 وهانغتشو عام 2023.

وتتواصل منافسات المنتخب الوطني الخميس، بمشاركة أسماء عيسى في وزن 79 كغم، وثروت الحجاج في وزن 86 كغم.
