أعلنت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، الثلاثاء، أن أكثر من 250 ألف شخص نزحوا داخل اليمن منذ آب الماضي، عقب استئناف الأعمال العدائية بين الحكومة اليمنية وجماعة الحوثيين.

وقال المتحدث باسم المفوضية، ماثيو سالتمارش، للصحفيين في جنيف، إن المنظمة تشعر بقلق بالغ إزاء تفاقم وضع النزوح في اليمن، إذ تجاوز عدد النازحين حاجز الـ250 ألف شخص.

من جانبه، حذر برنامج الأغذية العالمي التابع للأمم المتحدة من تدهور حاد في الأمن الغذائي بالمناطق الخاضعة للحكومة اليمنية، مع تصاعد القتال الذي أدى إلى نزوح أكثر من 149 ألف شخص وتعطيل الأسواق وتقييد وصول المساعدات الإنسانية.
