استبعد وزير الداخلية الفرنسي لوران نونييز، الاثنين، أي تشكيك في إقامة مباريات كرة القدم، في وقت تتواصل فيه التعبئة المكثفة لقوات الأمن من أجل مواجهة أعمال العنف والنهب.

وقال نونييز خلال مؤتمر صحفي في ماتينيون إلى جانب رئيس الوزراء سيباستيان لوكورنو إن "مسألة إقامة مباراة مساء (الثلاثاء في باريس من عدمها) بين باريس سان جرمان وبرشلونة (الإسباني) غير مطروحة"، وكذلك بالنسبة إلى "مباريات أخرى قد تُقام ضمن المسابقات الأوروبية"، لاسيما "في ليل".

وأضاف مؤكدا "المباريات ليست موضع تشكيك".

ويتواجه باريس سان جرمان، بطل العامين الماضيين، مع ضيفه برشلونة الثلاثاء في الجولة الثالثة من دور المجموعة الموحدة لمسابقة دوري أبطال أوروبا، فيما يلعب ليل الأربعاء مع ضيفه غلطة سراي التركي في الجولة ذاتها.
