قال رئيس الوزراء جعفر حسان إن مشروع تزويد التجمعات الصناعية في العقبة والقويرة بالغاز الطبيعي، الذي افتتحته الحكومة قبل نحو 3 أشهر، سيسهم في خفض كلف الإنتاج على الصناعات الوطنية وتعزيز تنافسيتها ودعم الصادرات الأردنية.

وأشار حسان إلى تكامل المشروع مع تطوير منظومة الموانئ في العقبة، لافتا إلى أن المنطقة ستشهد مشاريع جديدة قريبا.

وتفقد رئيس الوزراء جعفر حسان، الأحد، سير العمل في منظومة موانئ العقبة، واطلع على مشاريع التوسعة والتطوير وخطط رفع كفاءة المناولة والتخزين، في ظل ارتفاع أحجام المناولة وتنامي تجارة الترانزيت، مؤكدا ضرورة تسريع تنفيذ المشاريع وتعزيز تكاملها مع مشاريع النقل والخدمات اللوجستية، وفي مقدمتها سكة حديد العقبة – الشيدية – معان ومشروع ميناء العقبة – معان البري.
