فازت مفوضة الأمم ‌المتحدة السامية لحقوق ?الإنسان ‌سابقاً، الجنوب أفريقية نافي بيلاي بجائزة نوبل للسلام 2026 لما قدمته من أجل ‌"تعزيز السلام والقانون الدولي".

وذكرت ?لجنة جائزة نوبل، أن نافي بيلاي (85 عاماً) حاسبت قادة دول وجلبت الأمل لضحايا ‌العنف والصراع، وأظهرت بوصلة أخلاقية ثابتة خلال مسيرتها المهنية الطويلة.

وأضافت اللجنة أن "هناك قاسما مشتركا يمتد من بدايات مسيرتها في الدفاع عن نيلسون ?مانديلا وغيره ممن ناضلوا ضد نظام ‌الفصل العنصري إلى عملها قاضية في بعض أهم قضايا المحاكم الدولية في عصرنا".

وجائزة ‌السلام هي خامس جائزة نوبل تمنح هذا ?الأسبوع بعد جوائز الأدب والكيمياء والفيزياء والطب.

وكانت زعيمة المعارضة الفنزويلية ماريا كورينا ?ماتشادو قد فازت بجائزة السلام ?في عام 2025.
