أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، فجر الأربعاء، محاولة تسلل شخصين عبر إحدى واجهاتها الحدودية، بعد رصدهما من قبل قوات حرس الحدود أثناء محاولتهما اجتياز الحدود بطريقة غير مشروعة.

وتعاملت قوات حرس الحدود مع المتسللين وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعمول بها، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض عليهما وتحويلهما إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقهما.

وتؤكد القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي استمرارها في أداء واجباتها لحماية حدود المملكة والتصدي لمحاولات التسلل والعبور غير المشروع، وفق القوانين والتعليمات المعمول بها.
