أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الوسطى، مساء اليوم الإثنين، محاولة تسلل أربعة أشخاص عبر إحدى الواجهات الحدودية، بعد أن تمكنت قوات حرس الحدود من رصدهم أثناء محاولتهم اجتياز الحدود بطريقة غير مشروعة.

وتعاملت قوات حرس الحدود مع المتسللين وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعمول بها، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض عليهم، وتحويلهم إلى الجهات المختصة لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم.

وتؤكد القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي أن وحدات حرس الحدود تواصل أداء واجبها بكل يقظة وحزم، في إطار مسؤوليتها في حماية حدود المملكة وصون سيادتها، والتصدي لأي محاولات تسلل أو أنشطة غير مشروعة قد تمس أمن الوطن واستقراره.
