أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشمالية، الأحد، محاولة تسلل لشخص عبر إحدى الواجهات الحدودية، بعد أن تمكنت قوات حرس الحدود من رصده أثناء محاولته اجتياز الحدود بطريقة غير مشروعة.

وتعاملت قوات حرس الحدود مع المتسلل وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعمول بها، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض عليه ومنعه من اجتياز الحدود، قبل تحويله إلى الجهات المختصة لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية بحقه.

وأكدت القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي أن وحدات حرس الحدود تواصل أداء واجبها بكل يقظة وحزم، في إطار مسؤوليتها في حماية حدود المملكة وصون سيادتها، والتصدي لأي محاولات تسلل أو أنشطة غير مشروعة قد تمس أمن الوطن واستقراره.
