هدّد الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الأربعاء بتقليص التبادل التجاري مع الاتحاد الأوروبي إذا مضى في اقتراحه القاضي بمنح كندا صفة أول "عضو شريك" في التكتُّل.

وقال ترامب للصحافيين تعليقا على الخطة التي كشفت عنها رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية أورسولا فون دير لايين "إنه لأمر مثير للسخرية"، مضيفا "إذا مضوا قدما، وإذا رأيت أن في الأمر أيّ تصرف عدائي، فسأفرض رسوما جمركية صارمة جدا أو أوقف التجارة مع أوروبا".
