أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشمالية، مساء الثلاثاء، محاولة تسلل لشخص عبر إحدى الواجهات الحدودية، بعد أن تمكنت قوات حرس الحدود من رصده أثناء محاولته اجتياز الحدود بطريقة غير مشروعة.

وتعاملت قوات حرس الحدود مع المتسلل وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعمول بها، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض عليه، وتحويله إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقه.

وتؤكد القوات المسلحة الأردنية أن قوات حرس الحدود تواصل أداء واجبها بكل يقظة وحزم، في إطار مسؤوليتها في حماية حدود المملكة وصون سيادتها، والتصدي لأي محاولات تسلل أو أنشطة غير مشروعة قد تمس أمن الوطن واستقراره.
