دانت جمهورية مصر العربية بأشد العبارات الهجمات بالصواريخ والطائرات المسيرة التي استهدفت مدن أبها وخميس مشيط وجازان ونجران بالمملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة، وأسفرت عن إصابة عشرات المدنيين بينهم نساء وأطفال في تصعيد خطير وانتهاك لسيادة المملكة وتهديد لأمن وسلامة شعبها.

وأعربت مصر في بيان صادر عن وزارة خارجيتها، عن تضامنها الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة وتؤكد وقوفها إلى جانبها في مواجهة أية تهديدات تمس أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها ورفضها التام لاستهداف المدنيين والمنشآت المدنية، مشددة على أن أمن المملكة يعد جزءا لا يتجزأ من الأمن القومي المصري والعربي.
