قطعت البيرو، الدولة المقربة من الولايات المتحدة، الثلاثاء علاقاتها الدبلوماسية مع إيران، متهمة الجمهورية الإسلامية بـ"تصعيد النزاعات" في الشرق الأوسط وعرقلة حركة الملاحة في مضيق هرمز، وفق ما أعلنت وزارة الخارجية.

وقالت الوزارة في بيان إن حكومة البيرو "اتخذت قرارا بقطع علاقاتها الدبلوماسية مع الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية" وذلك "بناء على نهجها السلمي التاريخي".
