أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الإسرائيلية الاثنين توقيع اتفاق مع أثينا بقيمة نحو ثلاثة مليارات يورو، لإنشاء منظومة دفاع جوي لليونان تحمل اسم "درع أخيل".

وقالت الوزارة في بيان إن "إسرائيل ستبني لليونان بموجب الاتفاق منظومة دفاع جوي شاملة ومتعددة الطبقات، تعتمد بالكامل على أنظمة إسرائيلية الصنع وعلى الخبرة العملياتية الواسعة التي اكتسبتها المؤسسة الدفاعية الإسرائيلية خلال الحرب".

وأضافت أن الاتفاق هو "أكبر صفقة تصدير دفاعية في تاريخ العلاقات الإسرائيلية اليونانية، وإحدى أكبر الصفقات في تاريخ إسرائيل".
