نجح المنتخب الوطني في لعبة NBA 2K في حجز بطاقة التأهل إلى النهائيات العالمية لبطولة Global Esports Games (GEG) التي ستقام في مدينة لوس أنجلوس عام 2026، ليواصل مسيرة الإنجازات التي تضع الرياضات الإلكترونية الأردنية على الخريطة الدولية.

جاء التأهل بعد سلسلة من التصفيات القارية التي أظهرت قوة الفريق الأردني، بقيادة المدرب عامر أبو عرقوب، وبمشاركة اللاعبين فارس الشوملي، نعيم الخشاشي، كريم الخشاشي، فيصل العبيدي، الذين أثبتوا أن الأردن قادر على المنافسة في واحدة من أبرز الألعاب الإلكترونية المرتبطة بعالم الرياضة التقليدية.

وتكتسب البطولة أهمية خاصة كونها تجمع نخبة المنتخبات العالمية تحت مظلة الاتحاد الدولي للرياضات الإلكترونية، وبشراكة إعلامية مع مجموعة Los Angeles Times Media Group، ما يمنح المنتخب الوطني فرصة تاريخية للظهور العالمي.
