حصيلة ضحايا زلزالَي فنزويلا تتخطى 6500 قتيلا

أفادت أحدث حصيلة رسمية لضحايا الزلزالين اللذين ضربا فنزويلا في حزيران/يونيو، بارتفاع عدد القتلى إلى 6509 أشخاص، وفق أرقام أُعلنت الاثنين.

وتسبب الزلزالان اللذان بلغت قوتهما 7,2 و7,5 درجات بانهيار ما لا يقل عن 190 مبنى عندما ضربا في 24 حزيران/يونيو في المنطقة القريبة من الساحل الفنزويلي.

وكانت حصيلة الوفيات السابقة تبلغ 6438.

وتتواصل جهود انتشال جثث القتلى من تحت الأنقاض في لا غوايرا، حيث يعيش آلاف الأشخاص الذين شردتهم الكارثة في مخيمات موقتة.

ولم تفصح الحكومة الموقتة عن عدد الأشخاص الذين ما زالوا مفقودين عقب الزلزالين.

وتقول السلطات إنه حتى الآن، تم توفير 335 منزلا من أصل أربعة آلاف تعهدت الحكومة تسليمها للمتضررين بحلول نهاية العام.
