قال البابا تواضروس الثاني، الاثنين، إنه يدعم المشروع الأردني الهادف إلى إحياء ذكرى معمودية السيد المسيح الثانية، مؤكدا أنه سيتم التعريف بالمشروع في الكنائس القبطية داخل مصر وخارجها.

وأعرب البابا تواضروس الثاني، خلال حديث لـقناة"المملكة"، عن سعادته بالاهتمام الملكي باحتفالية معمودية السيد المسيح الثانية في 2030.

وأضاف أن الأردن يعتز بإرثه المسيحي وارتباطه التاريخي بموقع معمودية السيد المسيح على ضفاف نهر الأردن.

وأشار البابا إلى أن الأردن نموذج راسخ في ترسيخ قيم التعايش والوئام بين مختلف الأديان والطوائف.
