سلطنة عُمان تتحرك لاحتواء تسرب نفطي كبير من سفينة خاضعة للعقوبات

قالت السلطات في سلطنة عُمان الاثنين إن هناك بقعة نفطية على مساحة 390 كيلومترا مربعا تقريبا قبالة سواحلها، وذلك بعد تعرض سفينة خاضعة للعقوبات وتحمل نفطا خاما روسيا لأضرار.

وأفاد مصدران أمنيان بحريان بأن طاقم السفينة (كارولين بيزينجي) أبلغ أول مرة عن المشكلة في الثامن من حزيران قبالة ميناء المكلا في جنوب اليمن، وأضافا أن التقييمات الأولية تشير إلى وقوع انفجار على متنها.

وفي أول إفصاح علني لها عن تفاصيل الأثر البيئي، قالت سلطنة عمان الاثنين إنها تسعى جاهدة لمعالجة التسرب النفطي في مياهها قرب جزر الحلانيات قبالة محافظة ظفار الجنوبية.
