تسلّمت سمو الأميرة آية بنت فيصل، رئيسة الاتحاد الأردني للكرة الطائرة وعضو مجلس إدارة الاتحاد الآسيوي، وعضو مجلس إدارة الاتحاد الدولي، جائزة التقدير من الاتحاد الآسيوي للكرة الطائرة (AVC Citation Award).

وجرى ذلك خلال حفل جوائز الاتحاد الآسيوي الذي أُقيم السبت في العاصمة التايلاندية بانكوك.

وجاء هذا التكريم تقديراً للاتحاد الأردني للكرة الطائرة على جهوده ودوره في استضافة وإنجاح بطولة آسيا للناشئات تحت 16 عاماً للكرة الطائرة لعام 2025.

ويأتي تكريم الاتحاد في إطار تقدير الاتحاد الآسيوي للاتحادات الوطنية التي أسهمت في استضافة وتنظيم البطولات القارية، ودعم مسيرة تطوير الكرة الطائرة في القارة الآسيوية.

وكانت سمو الأميرة آية قد شاركت في أعمال الجمعية العمومية السادسة والعشرين للاتحاد الآسيوي للكرة الطائرة، التي عُقدت في بانكوك، بمشاركة ممثلين عن الاتحادات الوطنية من مختلف أنحاء القارة.
