دمرت حرائق غابات سريعة الانتشار نحو 230 منزلا في أحد مجتمعات السكان الأصليين غرب كندا، في واحدة من أكثر حرائق الغابات تدميرا التي شهدتها البلاد خلال السنوات الأخيرة.

وذكرت شبكة (آيه.بي.سي.نيوز) الأميركية، إن حريق منطقة "برادلي كريك" ألحق دمارا واسعا بالمحمية الواقعة قرب مدينة فيرنون، على بعد نحو 440 كيلومترا شمال شرق مدينة فانكوفر الكندية.

وأضافت، إن حجم الدمار كان كبيرا إلى درجة صعبت التعرف على المنطقة من الجو بعد احتراق المباني والغابات.

وتشهد كندا حرائق غابات كان أبرزها في مدينة تورينتو الكندية حيث التهمت النيران أواخر الشهر الماضي نحو 735 ألف هكتار، مقارنة بنحو 650 ألف هكتار قبلها، بالتزامن مع تحسن مستويات جودة الهواء في معظم أنحاء المنطقة.
